Self-Directed Learning Resources

This guide provides a brief overview of resources and tools that can be used in the process of self-directed learning in many situations, including CBLs and PBLs. Resources more likely to answer questions are listed first. Textbooks may provide a broader understanding of a topic when compared to point of care tools, like UpToDate or other source intended for use by physicians in the clinical setting.

Note that while UpToDate topics are not practice guidelines, many cite practice guidelines and include a link to "Society Guidelines" toward the bottom of the left navigation column.
