The Medical Library offers educational and support services to faculty, students, and staff in the Frist College of Medicine wishing to search the biomedical and related literature.
The librarians are available to help you:
- Develop keywords and MeSH headings for your search
- Search PubMed
- Select and search additional databases such as CINAHL, Cochrane, Embase, Scopus and more
- Select and use citation managers such as EndNote, Mendeley, and Zotero
- Select and use AI tools to aid in the search process
- Select and use Full Text browser extensions to help find PDFs quickly
- Consult on systematic review methodology
- Select and evaluate journals for publication
For Students:
- Our role is educational and supportive. We can assist you with each step of the literature review and search process; however, we will not conduct the search for you or deliver lists of articles. We are here to help you learn this important life-long skill.
For Faculty:
- We may be able to conduct searches for you and deliver lists of articles, depending on our capacity and the number of requests we are working on. We will always be able to offer assistance throughout the process.
